Why You Need to Face Your Finances Immediately
Let’s start with spending habits. After all, one thing that makes us universally human is the fact that we ALL spend money.
Now, picture this. We’ve all been there: buyers remorse.
Have you ever made a purchase that you knew you couldn’t really afford? For me, that was a Cannon camera. I briefly went through a phase where I wanted to be a photographer, so obviously I needed a camera.
I went to the store and bought the best camera bundle there was. Of course, I didn’t have the money. At this time I was working part-time at McDonalds. But,
I was no good at photography.
So where did that leave me and my expensive camera? In debt, all because of one purchase I couldn’t afford. I took months paying it off and I only really used it a handful of times.
Since the camera fiasco, I have been way more mindful about my spending habits and I’ve had plenty of success.
Facing Credit Card Debt (Dun, Dun, DUN)
I’ll reserve the statistics of credit card debt for the challenge (I put some shocking credit card and financial stats throughout the challenge), but I don’t think you need statistics in order to know that credit card debt is a HUGE problem for so many people.
But me, I love credit cards and I think they are amazingly beneficial.
I know that is contrary to standard belief, but that is because I know how to USE credit cards to my ADVANTAGE.
The only reason my husband and I were able to afford our honeymoon was because of our credit card rewards. I’m talking hundreds of FREE dollars.
Now, using credit cards to fund your vacation is only possible if you know how to use them and avoid credit card debt.
This challenge will help you face credit card debt head on so that you can start using them to your advantage.
Facing Your Financial Future
One of the best aspects of this free 7-day challenge is that it helps to set you up for a successful financial future.
Everyone has unique financial situations, with various financial responsibilities. I know some people who are set for life and others who can’t make it until tomorrrow.
Regardless of your situation, it’s always best to get organized for the future.
When I set up for my financial future, I had no idea what my plans were in 3 years, let alone 3 months. But, I prepped for my future.
It turns out that in the near future I would go back to school for a master’s degree ($$$), start two online businesses ($$$), and get married ($$$). All of that costs some big bucks.
But I was prepared.
Ultimately, I want you to be prepared for your financial future too.
